Hi! I’m Nicole Poteete, a Florida-based artist and graphic designer with more than 20 years of experience finding creative ways to make things. I’ve sold handmade art and jewelry, taught painting classes, and even spent a decade creating realistic anatomical models for medical education. I’m currently completing my B.A. in Graphic Design and Media Arts, with a particular love for branding, book covers, and visual storytelling.
When I’m not designing, I’m usually spending time with my cat, Star, or indulging my love of fantasy, spooky things, and anything wonderfully weird. I’ve always had a pretty active imagination, and apparently, growing up hasn’t done much to change that.
Which brings me to the name Dreamwoven by Coley. When I was little, my close family called me Coley. Hardly anyone calls me that anymore, but the imaginative, slightly weird little girl behind that nickname is still very much a part of who I am. She’s the one who dreamed up impossible things, found magic in the ordinary, and never saw much reason to think inside the box.
Dreamwoven is my tribute to her. It’s about taking the dreams, curiosities, and wild ideas that have followed me since childhood and weaving them into something real. Whether I’m designing a book cover, developing a brand, or dreaming up something ridiculous for a T-shirt, I like to think there’s still a little bit of that kid in everything I create.
And frankly, I hope she never grows up.
